Slatescale Worms
At first glance, the Slatescale Worm appears little more than a sluggish mass of stone‑colored plates, its expression unreadable and its movements deceptively calm. Many travelers make the fatal mistake of dismissing these creatures as harmless burrowers—an error that seldom leaves survivors to warn others. Beneath its impassive exterior lurks a predator forged by the crushing depths of the earth. When roused, the worm explodes from the ground in a torrent of shale and dust, its slate‑hard scales grinding like millstones and its fanged maw capable of splitting bedrock. Whether encountered in deep caverns or in the trembling soil beneath one’s feet, the Slatescale Worm is a reminder that the quietest creatures of the underdark are often the most lethal.
This model is scaled for boardgames, tabletops, TTRPG/RPGs and wargames of different types. It is scaled with a 50 mm base, making the units medium creature size in most rule sets/games. I originally made this model as a monster for a homebrew tabletop roleplaying-campaign. Check out my profile for more terrain, characters, npcs and a steadily growing monster rooster.
All models are thouroghly tested. The sample models are always printed in Bambu Lab PLA Basic, even though there are other filaments more fitting for miniatures. This is to make sure the model holds up with most filaments.
I really hope you enjoy it as much as we did!
